East Campus is in the process of being considered for a possible Capital Renewal Project to completely renovate the two-building residence hall. The goal is to provide current and future East Campus students with the right balance of programming and living space that will help foster community growth and development.

On Thursday, Sept. 27, MIT President, L. Rafael Reif visited Simmons Hall to partake in their 10 Year Anniversary celebrations.
Reif enjoyed a dinner with students, made time for a friendly game of ping pong outside of the dining hall and met with Cosmos Darwin, a Simmons Hall resident and one of the students heavily involved in creating and installing Simmons’ newest piece of art.
